What is garden coaching?

Garden coaching is hands-on, in-person instruction where a knowledgeable gardener comes to your garden and works alongside you. Rather than just giving advice, we actually garden together — planting, pruning, building beds, and more — while you learn practical techniques in your own space.

Where do you offer garden coaching in the Upper Valley?

I serve the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire and Vermont, including Hanover, Lebanon, Norwich, White River Junction, Woodstock, and surrounding towns. Contact me if you're unsure whether I cover your area.

How much does garden coaching cost?

Garden coaching sessions are $60 per hour. You can book directly through my Google Calendar or send a note to discuss your goals first.

What types of gardens do you work with?

I have experience with vegetable gardens, cut flower gardens, perennial borders, container gardening, raised beds, in-ground beds, hügelkultur mounds, and no-till methods. I also help with garden design and planning for new or existing spaces.

Do you use organic methods?

Yes — I always use organic methods. I teach organic fertilizers, natural soil-building techniques like no-till and hügelkultur, and companion planting. I don't use synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers.

What are your gardening specialties?

I especially love growing large sweet and hot peppers, and Lisianthus cut flowers. I also have deep experience with vegetable gardens, cut flower production, perennial borders, garden design, hügelkultur, and no-till growing methods.
