Est. 2007 · Norwich, Vermont
Seasonal cuisine rooted in the land. Open Wednesday through Saturday, 5–9pm.
Every Sunday
A community tradition since the beginning. Each week Chef Bruce travels somewhere new — through food, through memory, through curiosity — and invites you along. Pickup only, noon to 4pm Sunday.
Orders are taken from 12pm Friday through 4pm Saturday. Let us know how many meals and whether you'd like the meat or vegetable option, and what time you'll pick up (noon–4pm Sunday).
Orders open Friday at noon and close Saturday at 4pm. We'll confirm by email. Pickup Sunday noon–4pm.
Chef / Owner
After studying at Dartmouth, Bruce began his culinary career at D'Artagnan under Peter Gaylor and Rebecca Cunningham, receiving a classic French training. He refined his craft at Julian Serrano's legendary Masa's in San Francisco, then went on to open Peninsula Grill in Charleston and lead the kitchen at Keswick Hall, a four-star Orient Express property in Virginia.
He returned to the Upper Valley to open Carpenter & Main in 2007, and has been here ever since — cooking from Vermont farms, changing the menu with the seasons, and feeding his neighbors on Sundays.
"My personal love of the finest products, combined with the economic, environmental, and health benefits of buying local, is what drives this endeavor for me."
